Southern California manufacturing firm with world-wide sales of research equipment for aquatic species is hiring for its installation and technical service team. Installation technician needed to fabricate and install filtration and monitoring systems for high end aquatics holding equipment. Some travel will be required.

FABRICATION: Successful candidate must be able to fabricate PVC piping systems, pumping systems, filtration modules, and learn how to troubleshoot systems. Knowledge in aquatic husbandry, experience in aquaculture or high-end aquariums a plus. Knowledge of electronic control systems desired, however, we will train. Must be familiar with most hand tools and be able to read blueprints.

SERVICE: Technician will travel to customers research facilities to perform installation, service and maintenance both locally and out of town.

BACKGROUND: Educational background in Aquaculture or Biology is desirable. Experience in Fish Farming, Fish Husbandry, construction of Fish Facilities is a plus. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to perform a mixture of bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing for the working period. Must be able to wear respirator when needed and have no breathing difficulties. Must have clean driving record. Must be punctual, dependable, and have a team player personality. Candidate must be a US citizen with valid passport.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 – 3:30 with some outside travel
