We are looking for someone willing to train and learn how to decorate large events with balloons, and to deliver balloon bouquets throughout San Diego, 7 days a week. Must have a clean DMV, valid license, insurance, etc.. This position is not for everyone. The schedule depends on how many deliveries we get, where we are delivering to, what time those deliveries need to get to their destination, etc… Weekends are a MUST. These jobs can start VERY early ( sometimes as early as 4 A.M.). The schedule changes frequently, as jobs are added to the schedule on a daily basis. If you have set obligations that will prevent you from being available last minute, then this job is not for you. Punctuality and dependability is an absolute MUST. We are a 100% drug-free company. Must have a clean, presentable appearance. Must be able to lift heavy Helium tanks, loading and unloading them into the vehicles, etc.. We are a very busy Balloon Company and go to a large number of upscale events, as well as simple birthday parties, etc… This job will require a person to be comfortable arriving at a venue by themselves, or with other crew members, coordinate with the client, and set up and decorate with balloon bouquets, balloon arches, balloon columns, etc… We will train, but experience of any kind with balloons is a plus. The ideal candidate will have their own van, suv, or truck with a shell, and be willing to deliver in their vehicle. Hours do vary, but a minimum of 20 hours and maximum of 40 hours per week is estimated. If you are right for the job, we will get you the hours you need. Training starts at minimum wage-only until the basics are learned (and we both agree that you are the right person for the job). The hourly wage will then increase to $10.00 per hour, after initial training, and go up from there, depending on ability, speed, etc.. We will pay well for the right candidate after they have proved themselves. It can be very fun and rewarding.
