This job exists to perform the necessary day to day bookkeeping functions of a restaurant/nightclub in the Gaslamp in downtown San Diego.

The right candidate must have restaurant bookkeeping experience and in particular must have knowledge of Aloha, QuickBooks, TransManager, Excel and Word.

They also must have good, clear communication skills. They must have an aptitude for math and have strong organizational ability as well as knowledge and experience of common business practices and ethics. Knowledge and experience of Human Resources would be helpful.

Duties will include cash handling/banking, payroll, posting invoices, deposit transfers, personnel file keeping, filing, phone answering, email, receiving deliveries and miscellaneous errands.

A Candidate may need to submit to skill tests, background checks, drug testing and supply credible references.

Hours are adjustable — 20 to 40 per week.

Compensation commensurate with verifiable skill — starting range of: $15 to $20 per hour. Benefits available if and when the work becomes fulltime.
