This position is for an experienced and professional loan processor needed at a local mortgage company. The processor desired is one who will optimize the company’s efficiency and productivity of loans closed, and through sheer intellect, drive, and motivation by per loan bonuses, help grow the firm for years to come.

An applicant for this position should possess above average people skills and phone skills, maintain a cheerful demeanor and positive attitude when both talking with clients and co-workers, and understand and dedicate themselves to the “Customer is always right” mentality. It is also important that he/she take pride in their work, take pride in his/her appearance, and take pride in working for a strong, successful, high-volume mortgage company. The processor should be sharp, educated, and trustworthy individuals who are problem solvers, and enjoy working with a small team of fellow processors and loan officers while holding themselves in a friendly and professional manner.

Primary Duties Include:

1. Being responsible for processing Reverse, FHA, VA and Conventional residential loan applications.
2. Preparing and processing mortgage loan records, ordering all necessary supporting documentation, files and correspondence from application through approval and closing.
3. Reviewing all documents, working loans up and submitting file to Underwriting, communicating with borrower/realtor/loan officer to provide current status reports.
4. Assuring compliance with investor guidelines, customer service & in-house standards.
5. Have thorough knowledge of loan processing and closing policies, procedures, documents, underwriting requirements, governmental and agency requirements, terminology, and automated processing systems
6. Communicate well with customers, loan officers, title companies, etc. to respond to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain all necessary documentation required for the file.
7. Receive and handle incoming “status” calls from buyers/realtors/borrowers/title companies daily.
8. Be expected to maintain an average active pipeline of 10-30+ loans.
9. Be organized, detail oriented and possess superior communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Well-developed ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
10. Review and respond to monthly FHA Quality Control Reports; obtain file and documents, make corrections as needed; prepare written responses required; documents receipt of application fee checks
