InvestingHouse, Inc. is a local San Diego digital media and technology company, which specializes in building dynamic digital businesses. We bring businesses into the digital age by providing them a platform and tools to publish their business to consumers using the latest in online technologies. Our business is e-business.

Currently, we have a 10-person team in the heart of the gas lamp in Downtown San Diego. Our team includes a CEO who has 30 years experience in running publicly traded companies, a 10 year veteran in online marketing and an executive team with combined 50+ years experience in media, marketing, development, sales and technology. We have recently opened an arm of InvestingHouse located India with a full-time team of programmers and developers.

Due to our rapid growth, we are searching for top-tier talent in the local San Diego market. We want to pull from universities, colleges and language centers to develop a strong in-house internship and mentorship opportunity for students who share our passion for developing great online products.

To date, we have two active products, which are being commercialized. One being www.SanDiegoHomeService.com which is a local San Diego digital marketplace for home service providers to marketing their businesses online. With only a few months online, we are already ranking on first page for hundreds of key words. The second being our Wizard Site Builder which allows anyone the ability to create a website with absolutely no technological experience, its as easy as setting up a Facebook account; built with the best SEO architecture possible for a business website.

We have started development on our national e-business platform, which should take 6-8 months to complete. This product can revolutionize the way businesses connect with consumers online.

Our Program —
InvestingHouse, Inc. wants to give students the opportunity to experience real life business through our internship program. We want the students to get as much out of the program as they can. InvestingHouse is looking to bring on undergraduates, graduates as well as international students for a semester long internship program.

Students will be assigned to the department that best reflects their skill sets. They will be introduced to the department head and be assigned a set of weekly and monthly tasks. Will be looking for participation from 10-20 hours a week per student. Office hours and meetings are flexible and can be built around the student’s availability.

Each intern will be assigned a mentor who will give special attention to that student, go through different tasks and include them in certain applicable meetings. This gives the students one on one time with executives in their perspective field of study or interest.

Our last intern was given a full-time position and now is a full-time employee.

Open Positions —
For 2012, we will have the following internship positions available. We will commence interviews at the beginning of February.

Journalism & Communication Majors: This position includes content development for all InvestingHouse products, articles, press releases, how-to articles, news articles and content editing. Looking for someone who has a passion for writing and editing and who can be creative with content development.

Online Marketing: This position will be for an individual with interest in all aspects of online marketing including search engine optimization, search engine marketing, pay per click, link building, social media, content syndication, etc.

B2B Marketing: This position will include students who are wanting to get experience with marketing which would include market research, competitive analysis, promotions, offline marketing, marketing campaigns, etc.

Design: We are looking for a creative and efficient intern to help with our design team. Tasks would include working on design elements for the national platform, updating current banners, logo creation and working with marketing to create flyers and emails for specific marketing campaigns.

Web Development: This position will be working with our development teams in San Diego and India to complete specific module development in ASP.NET. Will be working on local and national level projects.
