Job Title: Health Care Planner
Health Care Requirements Analysis
Location: San Diego, California

Position Description:
• Registered Architect or Professional Engineer with AICP for and experience planning medical facilities
• Trusted access to and ability to interpret/manipulate government datasets, protocols, forms and standards
• Thorough understanding of resource utilization (space, staff, equipment) and forecasting methods in the government healthcare sector
• Development of system wide strategic and operational planning and design standards
• Deep knowledge of the funding mechanisms and “business case” requirements for government sector projects
• Identify critical delivery decisions that define appropriate staff, space, and site demand
• Create consistent planning mechanisms/tools for diverse populations and service areas encompassing urban, rural, state or national geographies
• Inform government criteria with best practices from other sectors
• Develop needed business planning support and financing approval support
• Create Health Services Master Plans for local or national geographies
• Create Facility Master Plans for both new and addition/alteration projects
• Support the multi-tier client conversations necessary for project success (clinic to region, region to area, area to national)
• Create actionable implementation path and priorities

Minimum Requirements:
• Registered Architect or Professional Engineer with AICP
• Minimum of five years designing and planning experience
• Proven track record with working with customers in team environment and one-on-one
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with Federal Government customers in Defense industry
• Graduation from an accredited four year college or university

• Experience planning health care facilities a plus
