HR Specialist (Clairemont Mesa Boulevard)

  • The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for duties that include general HR maintenance, related tasks. The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting a variety of human resources activities, including but not limited to: benefits administration, implementation and coordination of policies and procedures, employee on-boarding/exit, records management and general operations and administration This position requires a detail oriented person who is reliable, fast paced, team oriented, and able to think outside of the box on how to improve processes and procedures.

    The Human Resources Specialist will also assist with light bookkeeping as needed.

    The HR Specialist will be responsible for confidential and time sensitive material in an environment where professionalism, competence, communication skills, discretion and confidentiality are of paramount importance. This is a non-exempt hourly position.

    Position responsibilities:

     New Hire paperwork processing
     Termination processing & preparation of final checks
     Garnishments
     EDD Claims
     Benefit Administration
     Sick/Vacation time requests
     Maintain employee personnel files, and update changes
     Administer HR Policies
     Assist with Accounts Payable entry/Bookkeeping as needed
     Other duties as assigned by management

    Required Qualifications:

    - High School Diploma
    - Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in or involving Human Resources and/or benefits administration
    - Bookkeeping experience a plus
    - Strong organizational skills
    - Demonstrated skills and working knowledge of health plans and benefits administration
    - High level of integrity and ability to handle highly confidential information
    - A “can do” attitude that focuses on getting the job done with a positive approach
    - Outstanding verbal interpersonal and written communication skills
    - Exceptional follow through on task assignments
    - Attention to detail and focus on quality
    - Adaptable to learn new functions and tasks
    - Excellent competency with MS Office.
