We are a growing company and are looking for good quality employees that want to grow with us. Pay is based on experience and knowledge. A minimum of 2 years experience is required and bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Salary would be hourly at $8.00 -$12.00 per hour to start with a possible increase after a successful probation period. Applicants must have proof of US Citizenship or Alien Registration Card and Social Security Card. NO EXCEPTIONS. Applicants for the Crew Leader position must have a current, valid Driver’s License and a clean DMV driving record. Must be a self starter and reliable. Part-Time position can work into a full-time position for the right person.
Duties for both positions are listed below.
- Able to operate all yard maintenance equipment; using power-operated equipment such as mowers, hedgers and trimmers and manual small hand tools, such as spades, hoes, and pruners.
- Knowledge of timers, valves and sprinkler repairs a must.
- Plant and insect knowledge is helpful.
- Able to apply fertilizers, seed, and topper to lawn and planters. Nutrient supplements to trees, shrubs and lawn areas and apply weed emergence as needed.
- Planting of shrubs, plants, trees and able to maintain them.
- Clean sidewalks and parking lots, using backpack and hand held blowers.
- Crew leaders must be able to operate a small truck with a crew of one or more with the ability to navigate through the streets of San Diego in an effective and timely manner, with multiple stops.
