Our San Diego office is looking for an experienced Patent Secretary to support an associate and patent agents in our IP – Patents & Innovations group. This position offers a range of responsibilities and challenges that will utilize your strong administrative and organizational skills in addition to patent prosecution skills. You will manage all aspects of keeping these individuals on track through phone and email management, calendaring, travel arrangements, overseeing the docket, interaction with internal and external clients, and other projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the patent prosecution process, be able to generate transmittals and formal USPTO documents, file applications and other papers with the USPTO, and perform a variety of administrative and secretarial tasks. Several years experience in a Patent Secretary role is required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with strong organizational and computer skills and superior attention to detail.
