INTERN OPPORTUNITY
WitKids is an international non-profit organization based in San Diego committed to inspiring, educating, and empowering kids to make a difference in their school, community, and the world through community service. We foster social entrepreneurship in kids by helping them design and launch their own service projects.
As our organization grows we are need of more teachers! Currently we are looking for college students who are interested in receiving course credit and service hours through interning with WitKids. We have partnerships with SDSU and USD.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience and background in any of the following: volunteering, teaching, camp counselor
• An interest in volunteering and community service.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Internet Explorer
• Ability to work independently as part of the team.
• Strong work ethic, reliable, with top notch customer services skills.
• Proven leadership qualities, proactive, resourceful, creative, and detail-orientated.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse clientele via phone, email, in person.
• A passion to make a difference and a positive attitude is a MUST.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SPRING/SUMMER INTERNSHIP
• Must be available for a minimum of 3 hours a week

COMPENSATION
This is an unpaid internship for school-credit or resume building.

ABOUT WITKIDS, INC.
Founded in 2009 by a former San Diego school teacher, the WitKids program is currently in San Diego schools: elementary, middle, and high school. Students at these schools have launched and completed over 30 WitProjects. There are also ongoing WitProjects in New York City, San Antonio, and Kenya. We just launched in D.C.!
