Job Purpose:
The programmer/analyst is responsible for carrying out programming requirements related to defects and enhancements in the company software platform. The programmer may also assist with customer support and troubleshooting errors. The programmer will work closely with the Lead Programmer and Training/Support Manager to correct defects and complete new program specifications on a timely basis.Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
• Program changes required due to defects noted by users.
• Perform coding as required for new features, including interface changes as well as back-end coding.
• Ensure coding changes do not cascade into conflicting code with other software functions.
• Employ required programming controls (SVN)
• Provide feedback as to potential program improvements
• Work under the direction of the lead programmer as to priorities.
• Update the defect/feature tracking software with changes.
• Document code changes as directed
• Gain a working understanding of the overall operational use of the program and the general process flow from the users’ perspective.QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and proficiency with the following: vb.net, c#, Visual Studio, VSS and or Subversion, SQL and SQL Management Studio, Database Management, CodeSmith\DAL. Exposure or experience to the following helpful, but not required: CSS, Aspose, Office and Mail Merge, Telerik, Adobe Flex, LINQ, Visual Studio 10, Unit Testing, Application of Design Patterns, SCRUM Development cyclesContract to hire — Pay DOE.
