Civic-minded, energetic, creative and inter-disciplinary firm specializing in marketing and communications for government agencies seeks like-minded, skillful and experienced project manager. If you thrive on creating order to meet quick-paced deadlines and organizing a small team of 5-10 people to do great deeds, then this is the perfect position for you. Ideal candidate will seek to work in a small, 10 person office such as ours and help us build it to retain our current clients and attract new clients from utilities, institutions and corporations. You will report directly to the firm’s President and be an important part of the management team.
Position requires: Interacting directly with clients to market and deliver services that are creative, engaging and effective; managing the delivery of services per a scope of services; meeting schedules and budgets for projects; identifying internal deadlines and assigning project work to junior staff; reviewing all work for quality and participating in quality assurance process; and being the right hand person for the firm’s President.
Successful candidate will have:
• A strong track record for managing communications services for projects that build a more sustainable future for our region
• Ability to be the a project team’s leader by motivating them and managing staff hours, reimbursables expenses, detail about the services performed, percent complete and budget status
• A talent for team development and team building, as well as maintaining office systems so that the team can collaborate and share information effectively and efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with enthusiasm for artful and correct language choices in both methods
• Ability to plan ahead and use tools such as excel, FasTrak and Microsoft Project to manage project schedules
• 15 years previous work experience with the last five years including team management responsibilities
