Senior Estate Manager (Newport Coast, CA)

Newport Coast family is looking for a Senior Estate Manager. The position is responsible for managing the day to day affairs of the primary and other residential properties, to maintain an efficient and productive working environment thru a hands-on style of management and working in conjunction with other staff as a productive team. A polished and relaxed professional who is service oriented with a keen understanding and ability to anticipate the needs of the family.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute overall management of the property and service levels, responsibilities include setting the service standards for the estate and ensuring that these standards are obtained
• Responsible for the identification and successful completion of real estate matters
• Executing all owner, family, guest activity/service/projects that occur on the primary estate
• Demonstration of proper social etiquette, cultural knowledge, service standards and creative problem solving skills required
• Manage the day to day affairs of the family residence while maintaining high standards and efficiency
• Staff management for scheduling, training and productivity for efficiency of housekeeping team
• Greeting of guests and visitors to ensure a pleasant visit
• Provide both informal & formal styles of food & beverage service, table service / settings
• Managing and scheduling of trades and vendors for interior and exterior maintenance
• Manage and monitor household inventories and budgets, working with existing manuals and programs
• Occasional errands and personal shopping as required
• Responsible to liaison with family offices on a regular basis for planning of travel & social itinerariesApplicant Qualities:
• Must be flexible with work schedules and accommodating to being available as required by family including weekends, holidays, late nights or early mornings
• Must have prior quality experience managing a private estate with multiple staff or significant commercial property management experience
• Strong background in dealing with staff and vendors
• Must be knowledgeable in building operations and facilities management as well as luxury items such as fine art and antiques
• Must be flexible, self-motivated and energetic, who can work as a team player with existing staff in residence
• Excellent time management, punctuality, multi-tasking and attention to detail with follow through from start to finish along with strong organizational skills
• Experience and knowledge for informal and formal food and beverage service and event management
• Must have a sense and respect of boundaries, exercise discretion, privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Must have a bachelor’s degree from reputable university or College. Higher degrees are preferred.Compensation and benefits:
