Software Engineer
In this technically savvy role, where your dedication, experience and eye for detail are critical to our continued success, we will rely on you to design and maintain software which utilizes many different technologies including C#, Windows Workflow (WF) and Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) to deliver an interactive public facing kiosk product.
Responsibilities:
• Implement well-architected, well-documented, high-quality code at a fast pace
• Move quickly between varied engineering tasks in a small team to deliver software and fixes to unattended locations
• Combine multiple software technologies into an integrated product
• Interact with software, hardware, quality, marketing and other departments
• Develop a clear understanding of the big picture and customer requirements
• Conduct medium-scale testing and validation of algorithms and delivered softwareQualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years experience with C#, Visual Studio, .Net
• Kiosk software development including:
o Integration between low level hardware systems, middleware and public facing interfaces
o Developing and maintaining robust software to be used in remote locations with many potential failure and recovery scenarios
o Collecting field data for offline analysis
• RDBMS experience using MS SQL Server
• Software for touch screen applications, WPF and Windows Workflow experience a plus
• Excellent problem solving skills; outside the box thinker
• Excellent communication skills
• Thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
