Spec Needs Nanny to Work Flexible Schedule of YOUR Choice — see ad for more details.
I am in need of a DEDICATED and COMMITTED Spec Needs NANNY to work either
Part-time or Full-time hours — YOU CHOOSE(See flexible schedule below)
Hourly rate – $11-$13 hr. depending on experience.I need someone to help ME with my six year old son when he gets home from school on the following days: M/T/W/TH/F from 2:15pm-7:30pm + 1 (either Saturday or Sunday) weekend day from 12:00pm. – 4:00pm; YOU CHOOSE which weekend day you prefer to work (schedule must be consistent on weekly basis once chosen).
There might be an occasional opportunity to have the weekend off — this is dependent on husband’s company work load. Of course (if opportunity arose), taking the time off work would be your choice as well.
Schedule opportunities :
Choice 1. M/W/F + 1 weekend day
Choice 2. W/F + 1 weekend day
Choice 3. T/W/Th/F + 1 weekend dayIt is imperative that you inform me which schedule option you prefer (by Choice #) and if it is not too personal, why this choice works best.
My son is a high functioning Autistic boy with Fragile X syndrome (more information on Fragile X can be found at http://www.fraxa.org/); he is currently being transitioned (slowly) from a Special Ed to General Ed class. He is very social and a charmer yet at times has some behavioral issues. With our particular situation, experience working with special needs kids is a must — Autism and/or ADHD is a huge plus.
He enjoys playing with our dog, learning, BEING TICKLED and going to the park where he can run and be play chased. He likes to help adults with “projects”, cuddle, build blocks, read, catch balls and much more — I am looking for someone who will happily engage with him in these current “hobbies”, assist in helping him grow in a variety of ways and be there for him. This job entails light housework and partnering with me as I am involved as much as possible in my child’s life but have some health problems making it impossible for me to be available as much as he needs.
The qualifications I desire are as follows:
*Some level of college experience
*Experience working with children who have behavioral issues
*Experience as a long-term babysitter and/or nanny
*First Aid & CPR Certified a plus
*You must have your own car and good driving record*Punctual *Quick learner *Reliable *Loving & Caring, yet Firm *Patient *Understanding *Flexible *Great at Multi-tasking *Confident *Good communicator Consistency with Autism Spectrum Disorder is key; having caregivers coming in and out of my son’s life is not what’s best for him, with that being said. . .
I ask that you be willing to make a commitment of at least one year.
Responses without resumes and/or explanatory cover letters will not be considered.
Final applicants will be subject to a thorough background and DMV check.
