Stem Cell Innovation Scientist (San Diego)

An experienced R&D scientist that can drive innovation to expand the company’s product and service offerings in the area of animal stem cell therapy. Responsible for managing R & D portfolio, initiating technology collaborations, assist in the development of IP, and develop stem cell technology for commercialization. Experience in flow cytometery, PCR, transfection and other lab procedures is required. Must have thorough knowledge of stem cell industry, science and opportunities. Grant writing experience is essential as candidate will be responsible for conducting all activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals. Position will serve a key leadership role in the development of the company’s future plans.
Individual must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative. Candidate will work with Research Technician in performing experimental laboratory research in-relation to canine stem cells. The focus of the lab is to understand how canine autologous and allogeneic stem cells such as neural, adipose and bone marrow can help treat specific canine disorders, injuries and illnesses. Excellent knowledge of cell biology and molecular biology is essential.
PhD in biology or related health science field is preferred. The candidate must have experience in cell culture. Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work with others in a collaborative environment is essential.
