Web Client (ASP.NET) Software Engineer

In this technically savvy role, where your dedication, experience and eye for detail are critical to our continued success, we will rely on you to design and develop web-based user interfaces using the ASP.NET framework which will be used for critical and time sensitive internal operations. You will be interfacing with Rest Web Services on the server side and using standard client-side technologies such as AJAX, JSON, XML, JavaScript in addition to ASP.NET and C# to provide easy to use, responsive and secure web applications.

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement multiple client-side web applications, which integrate into an n-tier enterprise software architecture
• Implement well-architected, well-documented, high-quality code at a fast pace
• Move quickly between varied engineering tasks in a small team
• Interact with software, hardware, quality, marketing and other departments
• Develop a clear understanding of the big picture and customer/internal requirements
• Conduct medium-scale testing and validation of algorithms and delivered software
• Web deployment

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent required
• 4+ years’ web development experience using Microsoft ASP.NET framework, C# and Visual Studio
• Significant experience with web client-side technologies, such as AJAX, JSON, XML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Significant experience with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), web deployment and configuration
• Strong OOD/OOP and UML skills
• Experience consuming Web Services, especially Restful Web Services a plus
• Experience in an Agile development environment
• RDBMS experience using MS SQL Server a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills; must be an “outside the box” thinker
• Excellent communication skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
